It has been announced that Italy will host the 2022, 2023, and 2024 editions of the EBT Finals, securing the country’s place as the center of beach handball at the international level.
“We are happy. This is the umpteenth attestation of trust and consideration by the EHF towards the organizational skills highlighted by our Federation,” said President Pasquale Loria.
Hosting the EBT Finals for three consecutive years gives Italy the opportunity to further develop and promote the sport. Beach handball is currently the focus of the Italian Handball Federation, as qualifications for the 2023 European Games begin next year. The Federation is hopeful that Italy will be able to take part in the games, which will be held in Poland.
The 2022, 2023, and 2024 finals will be held in Sicily, in the beautiful Isola delle Femmine. The town will provide a spectacular backdrop for the tournament, with crystal clear water and white sand beaches. The stunning location will further promote beach handball on an international scale, and, more specifically, Italy’s prominence within the sport.
“I would like to thank for this result obtained the institutions of the territory, from the Sicilian Region to the Municipality of Isola delle Femmine, together with the Regional Committee FIGH Sicily, both for the work done during the realization of the candidacy and in advance for what they will do in the organization of the event,” said Pasquale.
The EBT Finals are an excellent opportunity for the Italian Handball Federation, as well as the town of Isola delle Femmine.
