On January 15 2022, the Sports Department and the Santa Fe Handball Association hosted a beach handball tournament that was open to the public at the Brigadier López municipal beach resort in Santo Tomé, Santa Fe Province, Argentina. The exciting, high-energy gameplay was made possible by the men’s and women’s teams from the local community of Santa Fe that participated. In addition to fans, the tournament was visited by representatives of the Alianza, Independiente, and IL Peretez handball clubs. This is a clear sign of beach handball growing in Santa Fe. Based on the joy felt by players and fans, we can anticipate more local tournaments in the future.
