How Teams Are Shaping Up in Readiness for the Argentine Cup

The IFES girls from Neuquen are on a winning streak. The two-time champions of Copa Argentina started their year with a win in Sol de Mayo, looking to gain momentum as they head into the Copa Argentina games. The girls are looking sharp. But how do they match up against other teams?

The famed Argentina Beach Handball Circuit has shown the talents and exceptional beauties beach handball offers. The IFES girls will face an uphill battle to defend their title. However, the trove of talent in past tournaments is proof enough that Argentina Beach Handball is looking up to greater heights.

At the forefront are municipality-sponsored tournaments. Locally organized games groom the raw beach handball talent in Argentina. Great teams incorporate such talent into groups like women of Goliat, men of Carmen de Patagones, and the local team of Sol de Mayo.

Carmen de Patagones has already qualified for the Puerto Madryn Copa Argentina tournament in mid-February. The sub champions of the Arena 1000 boast a slew of professional beach handball players and will be looking to unseat the incumbent champions.

We are already sure A-listers will race the tournament. Notable beach handball players such as Alejo Novillo and Lucila Balsas, who were in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, already made their mark in the first Arena 1000 event of the Argentine Circuit. However, beach handball is a team sport. The stars will have to coordinate with team members to provide entertainment and produce moments of glory that win matches.

No team is going to the Copa Argentina in Puerto Madryn to lose. The Argentina circuit in Parana and Neuquen will churn other teams who will square it off mid-February to clinch the much-coveted Copa Argentina. There’s no doubt it will be an enthralling competition—may the best-prepared team win.
